Fall Protection Training Programs

Certification programs for Fall Protection & Ladder Safety ( BC Reg. G11.2 + CSA #Z259.29.5-12 & BC Reg. G13.2 ) are available for participants to recognize common fall hazards and to identify and apply basic fall protection controls. Material is delivered through interactive discussion, multi-media presentations along with workbooks and handouts focusing on student participation. Topics covered include:

  • WorkSafe BC Safety Regulations & Equipment Standards
  • Fall Protection Terminology
  • Fall Restraint/Fall Arrest Theory
  • Handrails, Guardrails & Safety Nets
  • Conventional Fall Protection Equipment
  • Correct Selection of Body Support
  • Equipment Inspection, Care, Maintenance & Compatible Combinations
  • Proper Harness & Fit, Lanyards & Anchorage Points and Practice with Fall Protection Equipment
  • Fall Prevention & Rescue Plan
  • Ladder Safety

Successful completion of each training program will require the passing of an examination of both theory knowledge and practical operating skills. Each operator will be required to re-certify every 3 years to maintain up to date requirements.

Operational Hands on Training

For your convenience all training programs are offered as On-Site Training at your location.

 

Operator Re-certification:


Every operator of any of these training programs will need to re-certify every 3 years. If you have previously taken a DWM Training course or have completed training through another qualified provider and need to re-certify, please contact us to set up your re-certification training dates.
